Dwight, Elisah was actually a son, born in 1852. How accurate this information is, I don't know. It was taken out of a book "Michigan Chryslers" by D. Chrysler, which has Canadian lines in it. I do not personally have this book; I was given the information by Bob McCarey, President of the Grand River UELAC. Hope this helps.
By the way, John G. Chrysler is my 3x Great Grandfather, and you are my 4th cousin.
