The farm you are most likely referring to belonged to Col. John Crysler, Jr., made famous in the "Battle of Crysler's Farm" on 11 November 1813, in which the US forces were soundly defeated. Many books have been written about the battle, one of the more noted ones being "Field of Glory - The Battle of Crysler's Farm, 1813" by Donald E. Graves.
Although I have no information, I suspect that (your) Fredrick Chrysler is most likely a nephew of Col. John, the son of either of John's younger brothers Cornelius or David. Hope this is of some help.
