Dear Lynn: My grandmother was a daughter of Lloyd Crysler. Her name was Bertha Chrysler. Born in or about 1890. I know from my Grandfathers(Lawson)(Berthas husband) memoires that she took a trip to Prince Albert Saskatchewan in in 1943 to see her parents and on the way home visited her Aunt May in Regina and other relatives in Port Arthur and White River Ontario. I can remember my mother saying that we were direct decendants of the Chryslers that owned the farm where the British fought the Americans during the war of 1812 which came to be known as the "Battle of Chryslers farm". The children were in the basement/root cellar while the battle raged. These children could well have been the grandparents of Sarah Jane. Any info you have on lineage would be much appreciated as I am presently trying to join a "Metis" organization but need more info to prove that I have native blood in me. Hope I have been a little help. Note: Bertha Chrysler who married Jim Lawson had seven children and 33 grandchildren who reside primarily in Peterborough Ontario. They are also scattered in Pittsburg, Halifax Nova Scotia, Abbotsford British Columbia and other places in Ontario. Hope this has been of some assistance.
