Peggy, I think the reason more cousins do not participate is because of your attitude.Sometimes you arn't quite nice in the condescending manner that you treat us.I have no doubt that you know more than I do as far as finding information about genealogy.you have been at it longer and are closer to some wonderful places of information.I think you scare people and intimitate them. Now all I am wanting to do is find out who my husbands great great grandfather is, I don't care if it is Azariah or James Adam Chronister or who else it might be.Please tell me how the information I just sent to you pointed you back to the same erroneous material you always get. I am 71 years old, a mother of eight and grandmother of seven.I am an artist and a retired art teacher.I do not appreciate the way you talk to me.
About the Civil and Chancery Court material:
Chancery court:W.J. Chronister v/s FlorenceChronister Case 50 Box 789, 1912
:W.J. Chronister v/s Florence Chronister Case ? Box 828,
1913
; W.J. Chronister, W.J. (THIs is how I got it from the librarian) Case 316 Box 884, 1915
Civil Court:
Chronister W.J., v/s Sisney, A.J. & Kinder J. t. No 6, Box 831, 1913
"" Warren, L. E. # 10 Box 799, 1913
""Bush of Russellville # 5, Box 1145, 1922
""Henley, Frank, # 57 Box 817, 1912
""State of AR. # 62,Box 1098, 1922
This is what Ms. Murdoch sent to me from the index pages of the Chancery, Civil and Criminal Coutr cases. She also said that in Criminal Court there was nothing against W.J. but there is some against a Bill and Will. I may pursue those later.Did you notice the dates on themChabcery cases? Also they make me think of something a merchant would do rather tha a farmer, but I am waiting until I receive copies of three of them to try and figure that out.
About the papers in the library, I don't think they were written by Randy Duvall, I think they may have been written by a Wilma Burris but that is just my opinion absolutely no one elses. The next time I am there I am going to look again.
About the stories people tell or write about, EmilyAnn Croom, author of "UnpuzzlingYour Past" says about older generations, " No amount of library research can duplicate what people can tell."
Stell Chronister, 100 yrs old last May,said sometime ago, before this ever started, that William J. Chronister was brother to Isham Chronister who was James Adam Chronister's son.Now I know that you want public documents and I don't blame you.I do too, that is why I say I still don't know for sure who William J. Chronister or William M. Chronister's father is.
You have very good preponderance of evidence but there is one tiny chance that it is not so.At no time did we see any middle initial on Azariah's son Williamwhen Azariah was alive.I also don't think you understand the people of the Ozarks, they are very channish and very close, which sometimes is a very good thing.
I hope we can continue our dialogue and that someday we have an answer.
Mary Lou
