I've hit a dead end, and thought you might be able to help break through. My GGgrandfather, Jacob CHRISTY, was born 1853 in either IN or IA (records give both states). Do you know if Josiah had a brother who might have produced Jacob? This is the right time period, and the right geography - according to family lore - for a possible connection. Given the scarcity of population during this time period, I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks for any help you can offer.
