Glad to hear from you! Jacob and Elvira (Feagin) CHRISTY are my gg-grandparents. Their son Harve (b 2 Feb 1875) is my g-grandfather. Harve married Pearl Churchill. Most of these are buried in the Hope Cemetary (also known as the Zion Cemetary) just W. of Arkansas City, KS. It is a beautiful little country cemetary with the white clapboard church right across a dirt road. My records are still spotty, but if any of this would be helpful to your 'research group' in KS - have at it! Jacob and Elvira were a prolific couple, producing: Harve, Rose(1877), Dora(Nov. 1879), Ollie(2Oct1882), Marvin (Harve named my grandfather for this brother), Elmer, Vern(this is the spelling I have for your gfather), Mildred, Delpha, Della, Harley E., and Elmer. Sometimes records show FEAGINS as a spelling variation. I've not fully confirmed, yet, but believe Elvira's parents are Daniel and Elizabeth FEAGINS. Daniel b 10Feb 1817 in Fayette Co., OH and d 22Nov1896. Elizabeth b 28Jul1824 and d 25Jun1896. They are also buried in Hope Cemetary. There are several other Feagin(s) headstones in the same place, but I have not yet made the connections. It is great to find possible 'cousins'. Keep me posted on what you come up with!
