I am looking for information on a Sarah Christy who married David Pisor - they lived over by North Washington, PA. His family was originally from over by Plain Grove, PA and so I am assuming that he moved over by his wife's family when they got married. He bought property from Jacob and Susannah Grossman which was previously owned by Jacob Shirn and previously by William Christy. He also bought a piece from James P and Martha Christy as well as from Josiah and Levina Christy. (all around 1864) I cannot figure out who Sarah Christy's father is and what all her lineage is. When Sarah died her estate was taken care of by Elzada Hindman - her oldest child.
I know that there was a John and James Christy that fought in the American Revolution but a Christy book that I found in Butler County Library, Butler PA questions whether or not this John and James from Washington Twp were the same gentlemen. I know that in one case a brother and sister married a brother and sister (Campbells) and I know that one of them married a cousin but I am having trouble sorting all of the families out. Do you know of anyone who has a Christy family Bible that may have this information in? I would appreciate any help that you could give me as I cannot find any more information on them.
