CHRISTY, THOMAS b. abt 1780-90 PA

Hi!
Still searching for my Thomas Christy who was born somewhere in PA between 1780 and 1790. He migrated to Missouri by 1820 where his son James was born. Between then and 1834 he had Thomas, William, Preston, and John Christy, my gg-grandfather.

By 1830 he had migrated to Claiborne Parish, LA.

Do any of you Christy researchers who are much more familiar with PA research have any Thomas Christy in your lines who was lost track of or that you know migrated to Missouri. I'm not having any luck in Missouri either because he was in and out before statehood so I'm having trouble pinpointing their location. The census records for James Christy, the oldest son, does list Missouri as the birth place but as I'm told it was actually Missouri Territory and the boundaries weren't the same as the present day ones.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.
