Alfred Stewart Christy, desc. of Major Peter Helphenstine

I am looking for info on what Helphenstine family Alfred Stewart Christy is connected to. He is listed as a member of the Sons of the American Revolution as a descendant of Major Peter Helphenstine. I believe he died in 1977 in Louisiana, that is the state where he joined SAR. I think he is mother might have been Lucy (or Lucinda) Helvestine and his father was William T. Christy. He may have had brothers named, Thomas K., Arthur T., and William Wallace Christy and they lived in New Orleans.
I think Lucy was born in Virginia and her parents were Theodore and Eliza Ann Helvestin, who were also born in Virginia, lived in Florida in 1850 and then moved to Louisiana where they died around 1901. I am trying to figure out who Theodore's father was and connect this family to the larger Helphenstine family.
