Hi Jeff,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
The bible is in the Historical Archives of the Menonite Church at Goshen College in Goshen IN. It is part of the Levi D. Christner Collection. He donated the bible to the college in the 60's. The story goes that Veronica "Frannie" Shantz and her brother, brought the bible over, from Switzerland, in 1769. The bible has been passed down for generations, until it was donated to the college. Most of the handwritten entries are in german. Me and my uncle have received photo copies of numerous pages from this bible. It's quite interesting.
My lineage also comes from John and "Frannie", though their son Peter and Susannah Burholder. Then it goes through their son Levi and his second wife Mary Warrick. Then their son Elijah and his Wife Minerva Louvena Theakston. Then their son Harry and his wife Mary Ann Nedrow. Their son Elvy and his wife Helen Williams. (My grandparents.)
Hope this was of some help.
Diane
