Hopefully you are still interested in the answer to your question. August was the second child of Bernhard and Regina (Roessler) Christman. He was born April 1, 1851. I am in the process of posting his brothers (Ferdinand) Family Bible to my website. In the Bible were numerous obituaries, marriage articles and also a few hand written family history pages. Bernhard's obituary is included. I am in the process right now...as we speak...of putting it on my library's website. I am almost finished with the transcriptions and will try to finish it up tomorrow as well as add the scans of the family register pages.
