I am a direct descendent of this couple, they being my GGgrandparents. With names like John/Johann and Mary/Maria Fruth, I am having difficulty searching. I find them in the 1850 and 1870 census in IN as John and Mary Fruit. I believe they came to the US between 1840-1845, but do not know where they came from or where they arrived. I find a large group of Fruit/Fruth's in Ohio and perhaps before settling in IN, they were in Ohio, but again with such common names, I can't nail this line down. I have seen in older posts that this line of Fruit may have married into the Christman family. Any help is greatly appreciated
