I'm working on a project for public television and I am searching for photographs of Enos Christman and Ellen Apple (Martin) Christman of West Chester, PA. Enos left for the California gold fields in July 1849. In addition to mining, he was a printer’s apprentice in Sonora, CA for the Sonora Herald and later for the Village Record in West Chester after his return home on June 29, 1852. He and Ellen married in 1853. Christman kept a journal, later published as “One Man's Gold” by Florence Morrow Christman in 1930. If you have any information regarding imagery or ephemeral material related to either Enos or Ellen, please let me know.
