I've uncovered some new info about my gggrandma Agnes Christman. She was born 1/20/44 in Wittenberg Germany. Her mother had a brother who was an importer in New York. It is believed that the brother paid the way for Agnes and her sister to come to America. Supposedly they made it to Waterloo, Il. where Agnes met my gggrandpa John Toenges. They married and moved to St. Louis. Agnes' sister married someone name Schoenlau.
Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
