Just visiting this forum for the first time. Looking for info on earlier Christmann line. Charles J. Christman, his father Charles Christmann (second n dropped by second Charles) Charles with two "n" married Johanna (or Joanna) Downs. She was supposed to have been from Ireland. He may be related to someone named "Hess" in Pennsylvania. Family lore is that there was Pennsylvania Dutch in the family, whatever that may mean.
