Rev. Jacob Christmann--Moravian Church

Although not a Christmann researcher myself, my search for other lines has led me to Adelaide L. Fries' eleven volume set of "Records of The Moravians in North Carolina" (reprinted in 1968 and 1970). There is mention in some of the volumes of several Christmanns, for example: Rev. Jacob Christmann, Jacob, Jacob Sr., Balthasar, Barbara, Daniel, Elisabeth, and possibly others. The Moravians first settled Georgia in 1734-1735, moved north to Pennsylvania in the 1740's (I believe), and then established a Southern Province settlement in the area of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. So, when searching for Christmann roots, you should check out the various Moravian resources that are available.
