Am searching for roots of my grandmother, Margaretha Christianson, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, born 1841. She had a daughter, Minnie Deroin, born 1861, by her first marriage. Minnie lived in Sioux City, Iowa and died there sometime after 1934.
Margaretha married my grandfather, Frederick Volkmann, Meckelberg, Germany, born 1848, and lived in Iowa, a farmer. My father, Henry Nicholas Volkman born 25Oct1881 County of Crawford, Iowa Township of Otter Creek.
