A biography/family history of Charles G. Christianson is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 1163 & 1164. Parents: Gustav and Sophie (Kaldager) Christianson, both born about 7 miles from Christiana, Norway, were married in 1880, and in 1883 emigrated to Minnesota. Children: Carrie(Mrs. C.A. Ness, Erskine, MN), Charles G. (Montana), Ida (Erskine), Olive (Mrs. Halvar Aakhus), Effie (MN), Julia (Erskine), Oscar (Flaxville, MT), Emma (Fargo, ND), Selmer (Erskine), Hiklma (Erskine).
On 20 Aug 1913, Charles G. arrived in Northeastern Montana and opened a store at Redstone. On 11 Jul 1914, Fosston, Minnesota, Charles married Miss Thora Heglund, b. 1884, Aarnburg, Norway, not far from Christiana, and in 1897 came with her parents and settled on a farm near Fosston, MN. Father: Ole Hegland. Christianson children: Gwendolyn and Roger.
