James Daniel Christian was my wife's great-great grandfather, born about 1875. 1910 McDowell County WV census indicates he was born in March 1875. We know nothing about his parents, siblings, etc.
However, there apparently was a Daniel Christian born around 1877 to John Harrison "Doc" Christian (b: 29 SEP 1841 in Baptist Valley,,Mc Dowell,Virginia) and Nancy Vance (b. 29 DEC 1843 in McDowell,West Virginia). This Daniel was apparently born around 1877 at Sandy River, Mcdowell County, WV.
John Harrison Christian was possibly a descendant of Cornstalk, the Shawnee chief.
I'd like to see if this Daniel is the same as our James Daniel. Anyone more familiar with this line? Thanks!
