Stephen: I have a research problem that you may be able to help with, although I'm well aware that you DNA project only tests male Chrismans. I'm researching a descendant of the Chrisman-Hite line--the family of George W. Chrisman of Hardy County, West Virginia. I believe he was a son of Jacob. At any rate, the last "siting" I have of George W. Chrisman and his wife, Eleanor/Elinor/Nelly (Baker) Chrisman is in Hardy County's 1850 census. They were enumerated with George born 1830; Isaac born 1832; Margaret born 1836; Miranda born 1837; and Reuben born 1838. I've never located George, Isaac, Miranda or Reuben in subsequent censuses, although several daughters turned up. The full compliment of George and Eleanor's children appears to be: 1--Sarah/Sallie born 1827, who married Lorenzo D. Stewart (and who had an illigitimate daughter, Susan E. Chrisman. 2--Nancy born 1829, who married Pearson Whetzel. 3--George W. 4--Isaac 5--Catherine born 1834, who married Noah Keller and who beforehand had an illigitimate Keller child. 6--Margaret born 13 Jul 1835, married Mordecai Gochenour. 7--Miranda 8--Reuben 9--Ellen born 1843 who married Peter Kohne. Any help on these folks would sure earn my gratitude. I have no idea where they went but the males obviously went somewhere. Notify Administrator about this message?
