Christopher Columbus Chowning 1830 Kentucky

I'm fairly new at this but find myself absorbed for hours researching! My grandmother was Florence Chowning, Daughter of Christopher Columbus (Lum Chowning) 1873-1920 buried at Grassy Run Cemetery near Williamsfield KY. His wife was Rosetta Billiter from the same area, 1875-1946 also buried at Grassy Run. She had 2 sisters Flora 1900-1964 married to Cecil Delaney and Sarah 1903-1973 married to Otha Morris.

Lum's father was also a Christopher Columbus (John) Chowning. 1830- 1915 also buried at Grassy Run he was married to martha Hicks.

Lum Chowning lists his Dads parents at Walker Chowning and Elizabeth Hicks on his death certificate. (I'm not totally sure that is correct because of his Mom's name being a Hicks he might have been confused)

I have found information re. Walker Chowning born 1795 married to an Elizabeth Samuels, but no son listing Christopher or John with an 1830 birthday.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
