Roy,
Richard Choat and Jane Lowe did have a daughter Elleanor who married Nicholas Kelly on May 06, 1813, 1st Methodist Episcopal Church, Baltimore, MD. Their daughter Sarah married William Walker supposedly in Simpson Co., KY.

There are many records at the Maryland State Archives on this family. I started making copies thinking he was my Richard Choat (son of Christopher & Flora Hawkins Choat).

In 1806, Richard was appointed one of the Supervisors of the Turnpikes for the State of Maryland in Baltimore County. He was given an advance of monies to pay for materials and had under his direction and management the Criminals who were employed to build the roads. When he resigned, there was a $1,186.10 that was not accounted for. The State of Maryland filed suit against him to have the money repaid. Richard died before the case could go to court. Therefore, the State of Maryland ceased the assests from his estate. Afterward there was a long court battle and his heirs were suing each other. The court cases and estate was finally settled in 1824, and Jane and the minor children moved to Kentucky. Jane along with her son Herod eventually returned to Maryland.

Richard and Jane's children are as follows: Sarah m. William Walker; Flora m. John Gill; Elias m. Barbara Milliron; Rebecca m. Sabret Gary; Elleanor m. Nicholas Kelly; Herod m. Priscilla Berryman; Deborah m. John Berryman; Mary Ann m. Nicholas Norwood; David; Jesse Lowe m. Ragannah S. Owen; and Harriett m. James C. Conn.
