Edward CHITTY had another son named Henry W. CHITTY, born about 1810 or 1801---not sure without pouring through my files. His wife was Nancy, but I don't have a surname for her. There were other children of Edward's, but I don't have their names. There were some listed in the 1850 census in his household, but I don't think I even have them written down.
In the 1830 Henry Co AL Census, the CHITTYs are not listed, but on page 317 is listed Winnefred HARVEY, Margarett HUGHES, and John HUGHS. Page 318 is Benjamin HUGHS. Page 323 is William HUGHS. Page 313 is Moses HUGHS,and Robert IRWIN.
Robert IRWIN married Winnifred's daughter, Eliza HARVEY.
I found that Nicholas (or Nicolas) CURRY, Rev. Sol. of SC, applied to GA for 250 acres in 1783; on 13 Aug 1784 he received 287 1/2 acres in Washington Co., bounded N. and E. vacant, S.J.H. HARVEY, W. Oconee river, survey 163, p. 84. Perhaps this is a clue toAlexander Curry GORDON connecting with the HARVEYs.
Edward CHITTY's brother, Jepthey, married a Dorcas, but I don't have her last name.
In Henry Co AL:
28 Jul 1826, Daniel JUDAH married Elizabeth OWEN.
Howell E. CHITTY's daughter, Margaret Elizabeth "Mollie", b. 1844, married a BONNER, and I think he might have been the son of Thomas BONNER and Louisa E. HUGHES.
Seems that all I have here are scattered puzzle pieces and none of them fitting together! I hope there's something here that will give you a lead.
