I recently purchased the subject studio portrait and two young children taken by Zimmerman, St. Paul, MN. It is identified on the back of the mount:
"Katie Chittenden
born Aug. 5, 1876
Edwin S. Chittenden Jr.
born Feb. 15, 1879
died Dec. 31, 1881
Picture taken Dec. 10, 1881"
These individuals appear in a public member tree posted on ancestry.com. The family is listed in the 1885 Minnesota State Census data for St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN; the 1895 Minnesota State Census data for St. Paul (resided at 95 Wilkin Street), Ramsey Co., MN; and the 1900 U.S. Census data for St. Pul (resided at The Albion Hotel, Selby and Western Avenues), Ramsey Co., MN.
Cornelia Kate and Edwin Sedgwick were the two youngest children of a lawyer, Edwin S. Chittenden, born 1 Jan 1843 in Renselaerville, NY, and Minerva Elmina Moore, born 19 Jul 1848 in Renselareville, NY.
