My name is Neil Chittendon and we have quite a few in the Wisconsin area.
First off, the name is spelled "wrong." That is from my grandpa, Chuck Chittendon. When he was in the army, all of his paper work was mis-spelled with an "O" instead of an "E" and it just stuck after the war because of how things were documented back then.

We have also been in touch with
Thomas Chittenden and family in Vermont, and Eric Chittenden and family in Vermont.
I'm sure there is more, but that is all right off the top of my head.
