I have a Phebe Elizabeth Chittenden on my husbands line. The family was from St. Lawrence County, New York. This Phebe was the 7th child of Uri Chittenden. She was born 13 Nov 1832 and married a Roscoe Burrill Townsend. She went by Elizabeth and I have several pictures of her. One is a tintype with her and her daughter. The other is her by herself and it was taken in Minneapolis. Does any of this fit with your Phebe? Rowley may have been a first husband or a second husband. I have more information on the family if this seems to fit.
I have my husband direct line on the web the address is: http://www.omnipages.com/resa/chittenden.htm
