I found your message on Calista and Rufus
Bacon. I do not have info on Rufus, but do
have a little on Calista. She married James
B. Chittenden on April l3, l848. She was
born May 4, l829 in Butler, N.Y. Calista
and James had 9 children. Calista and James
Chittenden, and John and Eliza Bacon, are
buried in Fairplanes Cemetery in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. I have pictures of the tombstones
of James Chittenden, but not Calista. Also
tombstone pictures of John and Eliza Bacon.
Also a picture of a tombstone for Truman J.
Bacon, son of John and Eliza Bacon. Also
a picture of a tombstone for Eliza M. who
was a daughter of James and Calista. Shows
a husband of Frances M., but I do not have
his last name.
My husband is a relative in the Chittenden
line. If you are interested in information
