Most Chisnall (also spelt Chisnell) families link to either Lancashire or Suffolk. The name is thought to relate to a place name in Lancashire. It seems therefore that at some point very early a family moved from Lancashire to Suffolk. The New Zealand Chisnall's for example seem to come from one Suffolk Chisnall family. Has anyone any ideas on how or when the north south move happened Ken Finch In Ipswich Suffolk Notify Administrator about this message?
