Samuel Chism, believed born in 1796, married Nancy Haggard, 25 January 1816 in Winchester, KY., daughter of Barlett (twin) and Martha (Dawson) Haggard. Nancy is recorded as born, 17 September 1797 at Winchester, Clark, KY.
I received June 5, 1998, answer to query, from the County Historical Society, Mt. Sterling, KY. 40353-1111. They state that no information was found on the union of Nancy Chism and Samuel Chism. A Samuel Chism is recorded in Montgomery County, KY. in marriage to Sally Clark on 13 May 1824 in Montgomery County, KY. (this may be a possible second marriage). Any information will be appreciated.
