William Chism is in the 1850 Census in Greenville County, South Carolina. He is the only Chism in the state. In the 1810 Census he is not there but Ann Chism is. I believe that this is the widow of William Chism. There are other chisms listed in the 1820 census that I believe are the children of William Chism and Ann. This Anna was living alone in the 1820 census. There are not any Chisms listed in the 1830 South Carolina census. If memory serves me right in the 1800 census William Chism had 3 boys under 10
