Hi Faye,

Do you have a listing of how many was in James's family for 1830 Monroe Co.Ms. I show him in Monroe Co.for 1830/40/50/60 but do not have the 1830 readings. This may tell us just how many children they did have. Since James and Tempa (Howell)Chism married 1812 in Laurens Co.S.C., I suspect they had children born by 1813/14 and by 1840 several of the older children are possibly married.

On James 1850 census it shows the children are born in Ms. also Ala. I also find this in the children of my John B. Chism born ca. 1816/18 Ala., who appears in Jackson Co.AR. 1860.

I am most interested in this lineage and would appreciate any census findings, expecially the 1830, and additional 1850 as to James's neighbors, if they were Chism/Chisms.

Thanks so very much and hope to hear from you again.

Kay
