I also am interested in the Chism's of
Caroline County, in particular a man by the
name of James "of Caroline" Chism. All I know
about him is that he was born around 1692 and
had 3 son's-James Jr., William and John.
John was a constable and was stabbed to death
in 1742. He was married to Rebecca and had a
son, John Jr b.1741. James Jr also had a son
John L. b.1738. The 3 brothers were born in
the 1720's in Orange County,Va and the line
later moved to Kentucky probably in the later
1700's. If you have any information about
James or Caroline or any other Chism's in Va
in the 1600's to early 1700's I would appreciate hearing from you. I will be happy to share any other information I have with you.
