My Great Grandfather was Thomas Wiley Chism who died in 1953 in Oregon. He was born on Christmas, but we don't know what year, and had lived to be over 90. My mother says he claimed to be the grandson of Jesse Chisholm, and he said his father was shot as a deserter during the civil war as he was sneaking back INTO camp after going home to visit his first (and only) son - Thomas Wiley. If there is some way to verify who his father was, I will be happy to supply the rest of this part of the family tree.
