Just remember that not all Chisholms are Highlanders, the Clan is both Borders and Highlands. But that doesnt matter anymore, all Chisholms arre part of the Clan no matter if their ancestors re from the Highlands or from the Borders.
We have a Texas Chism in the DNA project. I might contact them to see if your larry name rings a bell. We also have a Mississipi Chism, plus Kentucky, Tennessee and Maryland Chisms in the Y-DNA project.
We also have a member who does not have a Chisholm surname, for a reason not exactly the same as yours, but the DNA test showed he matched with other Chisholms.
