C. Phillip,
There seems to be a little confusion here, mostly mine I'm sure. My Chism line is the
Meade County,Ky group and the James I am trying to find information about comes well
before the James /Mary Howard connection.
My James b. ca 1680 is thought to be a brother to one John Chism- the Great-grandfather? of the James/Howard Chism. It looks something like this-
James- Anne Carter
James (ca 1685?) John- Eliz Bradley
James John
Richard-Long James
James-(Barbary) James T.-Howard ca1757
John H.-Tibbs (Monroe Co Line?)
Abraham- Smith
Fielden- Thompson
Adlia- East
Melvin-Stone
Me
(Meade Co Line?)

I admit my information is not well founded-
especially before Richard and any assistance you may be able to provide will certainly be
welcome.
Especially anything on Chisms before 1700.
Sorry if I am confusing anyone. I'm just trying to find the missing links.
