am looking for the family of Edward Cheeseman b Nov 14, 1790, England. He settled in US and had 3 sons-Samuel, Thomas and John who used the surname of Chezem. He was b 1760 in Baltimore, MD and died aft October 21, 1850 in Highland TWP, Vermillion County, IN. John had 4 wives with his wives noted as Lydia Fiddleman,Comfort Morris, Mary Percen Turner and Mrs. Melvin (nee Price). John had 6 children-Samuel, Stephen, Elizabeth, James, Price and William. I'm not sure who was the mother of his 6 children. His son Samuel Chezum married Elizabeth Airhart Gouty. One of their children was Mary Ann Chezem who married Joseph Porter of Delaware. This is where we come in on the tree. I'm hoping this info is as accurate as I can get but am aware things never seem to be set in concrete. There are more names but this line is pretty basic for us. Any help will be great. Thanks. Mary Ann Porter

Hi Mary Ann!
John Cheezeman (Chezem, Chism) & Lydia Fiddleman are my great-great-grandparents! I come down the line thru their son John Downs Chezem. If you need help filling in blanks, please let me know - I have "The Chezem Genealogy" book. I'm in it under "Leisa Chezem" - info obviously 'gleaned' from my grandma who always spelled my name incorrectly! LOL!
