I am looking for any info on Leta Chism, 9-6-1895, Father Arthur Chism. Leta was raised by her Grandparents, James and Elizabeth (Ketchum) Chism. She was probably born in Medora Illinois and raised there. Children of James and Elizabeth; Arthur, Marion, Rosa, possibly Theresa. Arthur Chism moved to South Dakota after the death of his first wife (poss. a Lawton), Leta's mother. It is believed Leta's mother died in or shortly after childbirth. Arthur re-married in South Dakota to Molly?. Leta married Walter E. Wheat and they lived in St. Louis until her death. Walter and Leta had two sons, Carl and Arthur (my grandfather) greatly appreciated. Any one know these Chisms?
