There are quite a few Chisms in AL.,Tuscaloosa co., also. My grandfather was Arch George Chism(Archie). Married to Buena Vista (nee Hamner) House. They were married 06,14,1900 in Northport, Tuscaloosa, AL. Had Ida Belle(Ruth), Maggie Lee (Margaret),Ursula Judso(Susie),and Lewis Arch(LA) that I know of. Buena also had pre. mar. to John Monroe House ,had son(Jr.). Seems like there were a couple I don't know about, haven't found them yet. Arch was born to George Washington & Dovie A. Chism in 1878. !1880 Census shows a Lucy Hamner listed as sister to either Dovie or George. It gets very confusing!, since grams was a Hamner who married a Chism.H m mmmm.
