Hi Shirley, wishing you luck with this search. I know at least 3 other Chisholm families "lost " in North Carolina.All have joined the Chisholm DNA project, and one has obtained from the project, a very strong lead back to the Chisholms of Skye. There seem to have been many who came into North Carolina in the post Culloden, pre revolution era, generally not bothering with the nicieties of immigration forms and papers.
One other from the project has also the North-Carolina to Alabama connection.
