Charles Chisolm (Newcastle, UK) & the Battle of Trafalgar (1805)

I realise that this is something of a long shot, but I hav noticed several people contributing to the Chisholm Forum with relatives traced back to Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

I am looking for any information regarding a Charles Chisolm, who served on HMS Prince from 1804 to 1807 and was at the Battle of Trafalgar. I believe that he was born in 1777 in Newcastle upon Tyne, or possibly somewhere close.

I know that he had a sister. I also know that his sister married a John Brown. IGI is not very reliable that far back, but the only reference that I can find is to a John Brown marrying an Isabella Chisolm in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1799.

My real interest is actually in the daughter of John Brown, Margaret Brown, born in 1815.

I cannot find any references on IGI for Charles Chisolm.

Gingers crossed, one of you can provide a lead.

Regards

David Irwin
