I hate to disagree but not all highland Chisholms came from Strathglass. I am descended from the Chisholms of Boglashin, Urquhart. (There are not many left on my side of the family in Scotland.) It is an area on Loch Nessside very close to Urquhart Castle.
I am looking for my great grandfather, Alpin McIntosh Chisholm, who emigrated to Canada around 1903-1909 and then apparently disappeared without trace. If anyone can help i'd be delighted.
