I am looking for information on an M. M. Chipman of whom I have nine photographs in a portion of my families records on Cole.

He lived in Michigan, I think, moved to Idaho Falls, ID, and then to California where he graduated from what is now Standford University Medical School. He practice medicine in San Francisco and San Jose. I am trying to figure out why out of 25 photographs from the years of 1865 to 1900 or so, 9 are pictures of M. M. Chipman, his wife, and children.
