Obituary:
Waushara Argus Newspaper – Wautoma, Wisconsin
September 20, 1894
Betsey STODDARD CHIPMAN was born in Broome County, New York, July 3, 1818, and died in Warren, Waushara County, Wisconsin on September 13, 1894, 81 yrs, 2 mos and 10 days old. She resided with her parents in Broome County until 20 years of age when she removed to Troy, Oakland County, Michigan, where she was married at 22 yrs of age to Wm. F. CHIPMAN, living with her husband on a farm in the town of Southfiled, Oakland County till 1846, when they removed to Detroit, and in 1847 to Milwaukee, and in 1849 to Warren. They lived in Berlin about 20 years, returning to Warren 6 years ago. Mr. C. died 5 years ago. She leaves three children, L.W. and T.S. CHIPMAN, of this place, and Mrs. M.F. WOOD of Berlin.
