Those of you who descend from any CHIPMAN of Delaware or Maryland, if you haven't already seen it, should check out the article in the current issue of Mayflower Descendant (Vol. 52, No. 1, pp. 19-38) by Elizabeth Pearson White, F.A.S.G. and Edwin Wagner Coles, "Who Were The Chipmans of Delaware and Maryland?". You might find your lineage a little rearranged. It has long been said that all Chipmans of the South descend from Perez Chipman of Delaware. It seems that Perez's brother James also lived in Delaware and left descendants. Chipmans of NC may be particularly interested in the current issue.
