According to A Chipman Genealogy, by John Hale Chipman, Ammi/Ami Chipman was born 7 Feb. 1764 in Salisbury, CT, died 10 December 1808 Harlem, ON. His father was Amos Chipman, son of Thomas, son of Samuel, son of John. Ammi and Sarah (Evarts) son Isaac (brother of your Olive) was the father of Chauncy Chipman, who I'm trying to find a descendant of. My Kish family seems to be allied with these Chipmans, but I don't know if George Kish's mother could have been a Chipman or somehow related to the Chipmans. There is another, younger, Ami/Ammi Chipman who married a Kish in Leeds Co., and another Chipman/Kish marriage there, so it seems they were at least connected in that way.
