Horatio Nelson Chipman, M.D., second son of Charles Chipman, was born in Cornwallis, NS 1808. He received his education at Edinburg[sic], Scotland, and resided in Nassau, Bahama Islands, WI. In June 1832 he married Sarah Ann, daughter of Maj. Richard Garland of the Bahamas. Seven children [no details of them].

Charles Chipman, second son of John Chipman, was b. in Cornwallis, NS 9 Jul. 1772; died about 1851. He resided mainly in Cornwallis, but for a time in Eastport, ME and New York City. A merchant. He married about 1804, Eunice, daughter of Capt. Mason Cogswell of Cornwallis. Eight children.
John Chipman, second son of Handley Chipman, was born in Newport, RI 18 Dec. 1744, d. 29 Apr. 1836. About 1764, he removed to Cornwallis, NS. He was a member of the House of Assembly 1777-84, a justice of the peace, a judge of the Inferior Court; intelligent, upright and highly respected. In 1769, he married Eunice, daughter of Col. Charles Dixon of Cumberland, NS, formerly of Hampden County, Mass. Fifteen children.
