My great great grandfather was Stephen my great-grandfather was James my grandfather was Delano( Del) my father was Wendell I also remember frequent trips into Chipman's mercantile when I was young my family also owned shares in the company, my grandfather Del owned a jewelry store in Provo UT I did not know Grandpa Del he died when I was ten months old my father and my grandmother didn't talk about him much other than he was a very good man and like many others lost his fortune in 29 and that during the Depression he earned the name two Bits because every time somebody would bring in a watch for repair they would ask him how much and he would reply to bits I understand my Grandpa Del and my grandmother Hazel were married in the temple but I can remember my family saying during the Depression he would cut his cigarettes in half so a pack would would last him longer. If anybody knew my grandfather I would appreciate any stories or information about him also anything about my great great grandfather James Chipman and why he was excommunicated from the church signed Mr. Ardath K. Chipman Springville UT
