Thanks to Bob Hilchey and some files my mom found, I have the next piece of the puzzle and I'm looking for Lydia Pineo.
This is what I have:
Catherine Chipman (of Handley) and John Beckwith have daughter Prudence who married George Erastus Pineo (sometimes referred to as Erastus George).
children for this couple include:
John Obidiah Pineo b: 1805 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. Canada d: March 02, 1892 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Caroline Eliza Pineo b: Abt 1815 d: in Bridgetown Cemetery
George C Pineo b: 1818 d: September 01, 1896
Presumably Geo and Prudence had a descendant (child or grandchild?) named Lydia Pineo who was my gggrandmother. She was born in Nova Scotia married unknown Rowse and her son William Allan Chipman Rowse b 1852 is my ggrandfather.Date wise it's possible Lydia was a later child of Geo and Prudence or an early daughter of John.
Interestingly WAC Rowse's wife had a relative named Elsie Ross also from Nova Scotia.
Anyone have any info on Lydia?
Bob: interestingly you are right: WAC Rowse did go to Arcadia College and later took theological courses at Newton in Mass.
