Afraid I don't have a great deal of information on the Chipchases.
The birth certificate for my grandmother, Emily Chipchase, says she was born 26 July 1873 at 5 Hunt Court in Mile End New Town, Whitechapel, County of Middlesex to shoemaker Thomas Chipchase and Mary Ann Chipchase, who signed the birth registry with an X on 2 Sep 1873.
My only other evidence is in the form of undertakers' memorial cards for her parents.
Thomas Chipchase died 10 Sep 1896, aged 49 years and was buried in Woodgrange Park Cemetery, London, England. The undertaker was F. Chapman of 236, Wick Road, South Hackney.
Her mother, identified in the memorial card as Maryann Chipchase, died 8 Aug 1874, aged 37 years and interred at Ilford Cemetery.
Emily, who married Thomas William Dray 25 Dec 1896 in London, England, died 11 May 1951 in London, Ont., Canada
