I realize that 10 years have passed since you posted your request for information about Harry and Laurene Chinn on genealogy.com and so you may have found out what you wanted to know already, but here goes:I am *not* a descendant of Harry and Laurene, but Laurene's brother (the youngest of the siblings) Morell E. Chambers married my mother's sister Beulah Madelyn Crawford in 1947.Laurene also had 2 sisters: Grace and Faith. We spent the Christmas holidays (inc. my mother's birthday) at my aunt and uncle's house in Hutchinson, KS every year when I was growing up.Laurene and Harry were generally there too.
What can I tell you?
Harry was born in China, was a petroleum engineer with, IIRC, Philips Petroleum, was an enthusiastic fisherman (he brought delicious fish he'd caught to Kansas on dry ice) and a superb cook.Laurene was an author (check her books out on amazon.com) and tremendous word game maven. They lived in Borger, Texas (at least in the 60's) and used to come up to visit their daughter Bee and son-in-law Bob Dietz and their 2 kids (Tammy and ???-a boy) who lived in Morristown, New Jersey.I never met Harry and Laurene's son Mitch.
